Betsie River Canoes and Campground offers affordable camping and kayak trips down the adventurous Betsie River. Your family can explore our 43 acres by riding your quad, dirt bike or UTV from our trailhead leading to 400 acres of state land, go fishing, hike or bike our trails, play a volleyball or horseshoe tournament, go disc golfing and the children can play in the playground. During these exciting activities, you won't be able to resist the smell of a BBQ picnic lunch, so you'll want to fire-up the grill for a tasty treat. To relax in the evening, bring the kids for ice cream at the camp store.
The Betsie River is a designated Scenic and Wildlife Area in Northern Michigan, which provides an adventurous outdoor setting, although you must keep alert for branches and logs. You may see a variety of wildlife: deer, bald eagle, blue heron, fish, turtles, ducks, porcupine, muskrat, beaver, geese, dragonflies, butterflies, and much more. The world renown trout stream provides spawning beds for Steelhead in the spring and Salmon swim upstream abundantly in the fall.
